Our fair offers a variety of activities including Qigong, Yoga and interesting workshops from natural health practitioners that live and work in Frontenac County and the surrounding rural areas. Come and learn about natural and alternative therapies that can improve your physical, mental, and emotional well-being such as Reiki, Holistic Nutrition, Aromatherapy, Herbology, Massage, Homeopathy, Energy Medicine, Movement, Acupuncture and much more from the experts in your local community.
We welcome everyone who is interested in exploring the world of natural and alternative health and wellness. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced practitioner, you’ll find something to inspire and empower you at our fair. Join me for a brief introduction to EFT Tapping as we ground, breathe and create a powerful vision of a publicly-funded healthcare system that gives us the support and freedom to choose natural and holistic therapies. This a grassroots movement and we have the power to manifest our vision into being.

Healing & Enlightenment with Spirit Guides: Eric of The Spirit World Centre
Learn just what your “spirit guides” are and how to make contact with them! These spiritual beings watch over us throughout our lives, and offer transformative wisdom and healing to those who seek them out. Eric will dive into just how your spirit guides can support you in your healing journey, how to awaken your intuition, and how you can achieve vast amounts of self development with the assistance of your spirit guides!

Qigong and Steps to Self-Healing with Marilyn Picard
Qigong uses simple movements with easy, natural breathing and shifts us into a relaxed state. The body is a self healing mechanism so when we add relaxation, a clear heart focus and a strong intention we can amplify our own healing abilities.
Join me to learn simple steps to heal and bring your body/mind system back into wholeness and harmony. No experience is necessary. The healing technique that I have been “given” can be used by anyone with any illness.
Please note that Qigong can be done sitting or standing. ALL ARE WELCOME!

BodyAwake Yoga: Taking Yoga Beyond the Asana with Manon Vermette of Integral Bodyworks
BodyAwake Yoga was developed by Dr.Sue Morter, a master in the field of Bio-Energetic Medicine. It is a yoga for every level of ability which focuses on the conscious integration of mind, body and spirit. Using conscious embodiment practices, breathwork and meditation, Students are encouraged to understand the biomechanics bioenergetics and the breath patterns of the sacred geometry that are the Yoga asanas. The practice is mostly designed to allow each student to cultivate their very own essence. BodyAwake Yoga helps students learn to tap into the energetic fields of their body and build circuitry inside their bodies while performing traditional yoga asanas and techniques. This results in a powerful and transformative journey.

Sound Bath: Immerse Yourself in Sound with Laura Ireland of Expressions for the Soul
Become immersed in sound and feel your cells respond. The resonance from instruments can work on the whole person from the inside out, reducing tension, pain and sadness while also improving sleep, calm, focus and clarity. This practice allows the mind, the body and the soul to find balance, harmoniously.

Yoga Flow Class with Tricia Cain
Breath in the crisp autumn air with Tricia as she guides you through 45 minutes of movement, breath work and meditation. This class will help you find a reconnection to your body, mind and breath as we move into a new season. Bring your favourite yoga mat, water and comfy clothes. This class is open to yogis of all levels!

A handful of Peace: Mudras (hand yoga postures) and creative expression to recognize our essence of Peace with Maria Teglas of Ready Blessings Yoga
Join Maria as she shares simple yoga poses done with the hands, known as mudras and guides you in using your hands for creative expression that can lead to deep peace and relaxation.

Yoga with Jo Hopkins of Live, Laugh, Love, Do Yoga
This interactive presentation will focus on building presence of body and mind through action. We’ll practice using chairs as props which could translate into using very common items in and around their surroundings to assist people in developing regular yoga practices at home. Whether it’s a 30 second mindful breathing break, a 5 minute movement based breathing practice or a full hour yoga session, all at home that is simple, easily repeated and can become a great wake up, prepare for bed or even break up in the day for anyone to incorporate into their daily lives. Each participant will be lead with mindful movements, accessible breathing techniques that are safe, effective tools to reduce stress, improve mental calm and bring about overall wellness.

“Rise Rooted”: Caring for ourselves, Naturally with Claire Beach of Among the Trees Forest Therapy
There is something deeply healing about being in relationship with the Earth. When we bring ourselves back into deep connection with the Earth we are not only reminded of how sacred each breath is, but
how beautiful, soulful and precious all of life is. The practice of Forest Therapy has taught me how to truly appreciate the present moment. Being in the moment, fully immersed through our senses, brings joy, comfort, gratitude, grace, guidance and a deep sense of belonging. The trees are missing us. It’s time we all remember that we are nature and rise rooted, together.
Join Certified Nature Therapy Guide & Mentor Claire Beach to celebrate the power of nature therapy and learn ways we can bring this pan cultural practice into our lives everyday. We will explore the rhythms of the Earth, the healing power of the elements and how you can create your own nature therapy practice to rise rooted.

Yep, plenty of it and free. Lots of accessible parking too.
Are children invited?
You bet! We love sharing our passion about natural health and wellness with young, impressionable minds!
Are dogs welcome?
Because this is an indoor event, only service animals are permitted. Sorry, we love your pets too, but some people are allergic or have other problems with animals.
Do I have to pre-register to attend?
Nope, you don’t have to, but if you do you could win cool stuff and it would help us plan better, so we’d really appreciate it if you can!
Are there washrooms?
Yes! Lots!
Will there be food?
You bet! Mindee and Dennis from The Paper Plate Food Truck are coming to serve up some fresh, whole food favourites. You’re also welcome to pack a lunch and plan to stay for the day!
What kind of classes and workshops will there be?
We’ll have two stages with events going on simultaneously. We know it might be hard to chose! Each workshop or class will last approximately 30 minutes. The entire schedule is posted above.
